Infographic Design —

Butterfly Anatomy

Project Type: Information Design / Print

Role: Graphic Designer

Tools: Graphite Pencils, Colored Pencils, Acrylic Paint, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign

Overview

Designed an infographic that communicates complex information by integrating actual butterfly anatomy as the primary visual and structural design elements.

Challenge

Present detailed informational content in a way that is clear, engaging, and easy to understand, while maintaining accuracy and visual cohesion.

Solution

Used the butterfly’s anatomical structure as the foundation for the infographic layout. Individual anatomical components were repurposed as visual containers for information, allowing the design to guide the viewer naturally through the content while reinforcing understanding through visual association.

Typography, hierarchy, and spatial organization were carefully balanced to ensure that the information remained legible and logically grouped without overwhelming the viewer.

Production Details

• Information hierarchy mapped to anatomical structure

• Anatomically accurate visual elements

• Structured layout integrating illustration and text

• Print-focused layout preparation

Outcome

Delivered an infographic that clearly communicates complex information through an intuitive, visually integrated design, demonstrating the effective use of form, hierarchy, and concept-driven information design.
